Planting a Fall Food Plot with the GroundHog MAX

Thursday, September 29th, 2011

This is video of me and my Dad putting in an early bow food plot of peas in Mississippi using the GroundHog MAX by Tufline. We did not have a chance to spray the plot with round up to kill the weeds and grasses so you can really see how well the little disc works. Enjoy the video.

Reality Hunt Club – Webisode 27: Open Weekend of Bow Season

Monday, September 26th, 2011

It was an interesting opening weekend. I saw most of the deer, including the big bucks, the evening before while scouting from an observation stand. The wind never got right, so I had to hunt my secondary bow stands. That was frustrating, but I still had some good encounters. Watch this webisode and see some great Georgia buck footage.

Trail Camera Photos of a Fox Hanging Out With Turkeys

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

You have heard me say this before, but I am going to say it again. It is amazing what we capture on these trail cameras. In these photos, you can see a gray fox eating corn with some jake turkeys. The jakes do not seem to be to nervous around the fox. It is no telling what we are going to capture on trail cameras in the future.

Reality Hunt Club – Webisode 24: Dove Hunting or Not

Monday, September 12th, 2011

Well, our dove hunt did not turn out the way we wanted it to. We were missing the key ingredient for success – DOVES. I personally only saw 3 doves on our field all weekend. Regardless of this, the kids and I still had a great time. Watch this video to see some clay target action and hear our sad story.

FL Gator Hunting 2011

Thursday, September 1st, 2011

I went gator hunting with my buddies last year and I had a great time. I only videoed last year and this year I wanted to shoot a gator for myself. This year the Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) opened up Duval County, which is Jacksonville city limits for gator hunting. Since this is where I live, I put in for tags, along with my good buddy Chuck. We both drew tags and we started to scout in late July. We were both disappointed when we realized that all the good creeks and wildlife areas were off limits. FWC really oversold possible tags in this county. We hunted hard for 3 nights in the areas we were able to hunt, until we finally killed 2 gators. We had a great time and got some good video. Enjoy watching it below.
