Monday, March 26th, 2012Now that Tad had killed a great turkey the day before, he talked me into letting him shoot another the next day since it was still Florida youth season. His excuse was that he wanted to win our 2nd Annual Jr Turkey Thumpers contest again (go to JrTurkeyThumpers.com for the rules) and since there were more people competing this year, he needed another turkey. Plus, he said it was fun to thump these birds. I told him sure. Watch this video of my 12 year old as he is quickly becoming a turkey slayer. Yes, I am a proud father.

Thursday, March 22nd, 2012For the past 2 years, Tad and I have started our season here in Florida chasing Osceola turkeys during youth season. Tad did not disappoint as he connects on this great bird first thing in the morning. This turkey had a 10″ beard with 1 1/4″ spurs. Watch the video of this great hunt.

Frog videoed this young 9 point literally chewing his cud. This is a process that deer do to help digest their food. Watch this video to witness this regurgitation process in the wild.
